“Better marketing in less time”

Normal (opens in a new tab) is a town in Illinois.

Don’t let your marketing be a town in Illinois.

1. Pop-ups

When it comes to event hosting.
Pop-up events take the meat pie (opens in a new tab).

Why?
They are more personal.

I’ve been trying to connect with Nick Bare (opens in a new tab) of BPN (opens in a new tab) for months.
And then, they decided to host a local pop-up event.

We met, shook hands, and coordinated future plans together.
Finally… a quality connection.

Most events are a hodgepodge.
Too many people, too many booths, and too many speakers.

They are fun.
But often end up being a complete waste of time.

For your next event… consider making it a pop-up style.
Small and intimate.

2. Experiences

When it comes to community building.
Shared experiences take the protein pancakes (opens in a new tab).

Why?
People bond when they do life together.

I celebrated Easter with my local Austin family (opens in a new tab).
Part of that celebration was an Easter egg hunt.

Within the Easter eggs were gifts of time.

- Lunch dates.
- Back massages.
- Coffee meetings.
- Mini-putt outings.

If your goal is to build community.
Consider giving the gift of time.

3. Partnerships

When it comes to partnerships.
Authentic relationships take the proats (opens in a new tab) (protein oats).

Why?
Because it creates a win/win scenario.

I recently put together a future partnership list.
On that list are companies I truly believe in.

Trying to promote companies I don’t believe in is painful (opens in a new tab).
Nobody wins.

Don’t say yes to the money.
Say yes to meaningful partnerships.

Everyone wins in the end.

Take home point…
- Error towards pop-up events for intimate connections.
- Shared experiences build lasting communities.
- Only partner with companies you believe in.

My interview with Hanna Stone (opens in a new tab) inspired this email.

Next week, you’ll learn why marketing is essential for every business.
